(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton offered the following statement today regarding the indictment by a Texas grand jury of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay:

“Mr. DeLay has been crossing the line for years and he deserves to be held accountable for any alleged violations of law.  A criminal indictment is not a surprising outcome given Mr. DeLay’s serial ethical and legal lapses.”
