Judges who ignore the law in an attempt to push their own political agendas are dangerous to the Constitution and the proper functioning of the judiciary. According to the U.S. Constitution, the proper role of the courts is to interpret the meaning of our laws, rather than to fabricate legislation from the bench for the purpose of advancing a political or social ideology.
