JUDICIAL WATCH CALLS ON GINGRICH TO LEAD, FOLLOW OR GET OUT OF THE WAY

Speaker of the House Vacillates on Representative Barr's Impeachment Request

Larry Klayman, Chairman of Judicial Watch, the group that uncovered the John Huang and the campaign finance scandal, and which is prosecuting a class action lawsuit in the "Filegate" scandal, today called on Speaker Gingrich to unequivocally support Congressman Bob Barr's request for an impeachment inquiry. "For once, Gingrich who refused to endorse Barr's impeachment request, should put the interests of the country first, rather than his own interest. Gingrich is fearful that if he supports Barr, new ethics complaints will be filed by the Democrats against him," added Klayman.

"Gingrich should lead, follow, or get out of the way, as Lee Iacocca likes to say," concluded Klayman.

An impeachment inquiry -- which will be fueled by facts uncovered by Judicial Watch, the press, and Congress -- is just that, an inquiry. It is not premature to begin the inquiry.
