WHILE CLINTON/GORE RAISED MONEY SADDAM AND OTHERS WERE BUILDING WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND CHINA AND RUSSIA WERE HELPING THEM

Defense Secretary Cohen Reveals That Clinton Administration Has Known For Some Time That Iraq And Others Were Stockpiling Chemical, Biological and Nuclear Weapons

Possible Terrorist Attacks on U.S. Cities Predicted As Clinton Administration

Having allowed Saddam Hussein to build and stockpile weapons of mass destruction during its first five years in office, the Clinton Administration is now coming clean that it has known about this all along; yet has taken no action other than to back feckless U.N. inspections for only Iraq. However, in order to now mobilize support for emergency action -- having allowed the crisis to occur -- the Clinton Administration now must reveal what it has known all along. See "Cohen Details Threats Posed By Baghdad," The Washington Times, page 1, November 26, 1997.

Larry Klayman, Chairman and General Counsel of Judicial Watch, the group that uncovered John Huang and the campaign finance scandal, and is prosecuting a class action suit in the Filegate scandal, today issued the following statement:

"The Clinton Administration has put its interests ahead of the American people. Rather than 'minding the store,' it has feverishly engaged in illegal fundraising and, according to award winning investigative reporters Bob Woodward and William Safire, potentially allowed for John Huang and his Chinese colleagues to breach U.S. national security secrets. Having been reelected on tainted money, and having possibly compromised national security, the Clinton Administration now finds itself faced, predictably, with a crisis of major proportions, as it has been 'sleeping' as Saddam Hussein, China, Iran, Pakistan and terrorist groups have amassed weapons of mass destruction for potential use against the United States. As a result, Defense Secretary Cohen, in a Pentagon report just released, was forced to disclose: 'A lone madman or nest of fanatics with a bottle of chemicals, a batch of plague-inducing bacteria, or a crude nuclear bomb can threaten or kill tens of thousands of people in a single act of malevolence.' Id.

"Perhaps now the American people will begin to understand how the tens of Clinton scandals, the Administration's penchant for being reelected, and for not telling the whole truth, are coming home to roost," added Klayman.
