TESTIMONY SUFFICIENT TO MANDATE IMMEDIATE APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT COUNSEL In testimony today, Harold Ickes admitted, under oath, that "the President specifically asked me to handle [the Warren Medoff political solicitation]." This admission implicates the President in a clear-cut violation of the Hatch Act.
