Judicial Watch subpoenas ex-Deputy White House Counsel William Kennedy

Former Clinton aide and Rose Law Firm partner of Hillary Rodham Clinton to be questioned in Little Rock on Filegate

William Kennedy, who helped run the Clinton White House counsel’s office during the time period when over 900 FBI files were illegally gathered, was served with a subpoena today in Judicial Watch’s $90 million class action Filegate lawsuit.

Linda Tripp, who worked with Kennedy and his boss Bernard Nussbaum in the White House Office of Legal Counsel, has told Judicial Watch that she had seen the FBI files of Republicans stacked to the ceiling in the White House counsel’s office. She has also said that FBI files were copied and loaded up onto a computer. Other evidence uncovered by Judicial Watch indicates that Kennedy, who was close to Hillary Rodham Clinton, directly supervised Craig Livingstone, who helped gather the FBI files at issue. Both Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Livingstone are defendants in the Judicial Watch Filegate lawsuit.

Mr. Kennedy will be deposed under oath in Little Rock on Thursday, October 1.

"Mr. Kennedy, who had a key position in the Clinton White House, has relevant evidence about Filegate," said Larry Klayman, Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel. "We look forward to taking his testimony."
