Steve Forbes and Judicial Watch agree: 'this is not a sex scandal'

In CNN appearance, Forbes endorses case made by Judicial Watch Interim Report

Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman today praised Steve Forbes for endorsing a broad-based investigation of the numerous Clinton scandals by the House Judiciary Committee. In an appearance last night on CNN's "Crossfire," Forbes advocated a thorough investigation of "Filegate...illegal campaign cash from the Chinese ...[and] using the IRS against [White House political] opponents." Forbes pointed out, "[t]hose are high crimes and misdemeanors" and added that "this is not a sex scandal."

"I congratulate Steve Forbes for having the courage to speak plainly and identify the real issues concerning the wide-ranging pattern of corruption and abuse in the Clinton White House," Klayman said. "He is on the same page with Judicial Watch. Our Interim Report makes it clear that it's not 'just about sex,' and presents substantial and convincing evidence that the President committed high crimes and misdemeanors in the 'Filegate,' 'Chinagate,' 'Trustgate,' and 'IRS- gate' scandals."

The Judicial Watch Interim report was formally presented to Congress on September 28, 1998 and was entered into the official record of the House Judiciary Committee's impeachment hearings by Rep. Bob Barr. The Judicial Watch Interim Report is available on the Internet at www.judicialwatch.org.
