Clinton's Gun Control Proposals Miss The Point Having Blamed "Guns," The Left "Overlooks" Its Successful Crusade to Destroy Judeo-Christian Values WITH VALUELESS SOCIETY, PARENTS MUST KNOW THERE IS A PRICE TO BE PAID (April 27, Washington, D.C.) -- Having succeeded in destroying the moral fabric of American society, by removing any appreciation of Judeo-Christian values from daily life, the Left must now undergo what it has advocated over these many years; a behavioral accountability. Ironically, while missing the point, President Clinton's legislative proposal to enact gun control laws that hold parents criminally liable for recklessly allowing their children to possess and thus use firearms, recognizes this. Rather than focusing on the weapon, criminal laws should be enacted which simply clarify a parental responsibility for parents not to allow their children to commit crimes, as result of parental gross negligence. The facts emerging from the Columbine massacre show that the parents knew, or should have known, that their children were predisposed to commit the heinous crimes. "They should be indicted and tried for murder, as much as their children should have been had they lived," stated Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman. "If the Left wants a godless, materialistic society -- which devalues ethics and leads to increased crime -- then lets at least hold them accountable for the actions of their children. Perhaps then they will learn that an abandonment of basic values may ultimately require them to pay a high price." they added. "The Left seized on the recent Lewinsky scandal to argue that so long as the economy is good, Judeo-Christian values are not important in a President. Let's see how the Left argues itself out of this one," concluded Klayman. |
