Clinton Political Appointee Authorized Release of Linda Tripp's Pentagon File (Washington, DC. May 21, 1999) -- On Monday, May 24, at 10:00 a.m., Judicial Watch will redepose Pentagon spokesman Kenneth Bacon. Mr. Bacon is the Clinton political appointee who authorized the release of Linda Tripp's Pentagon file in the spring of 1998. Among other things, Judicial Watch has received Court permission to question Mr. Bacon about conversations he may have had with Secretary of Defense William Cohen about the release of Ms. Tripp's file, which violated the Privacy Act and damaged her reputation. | |
