JUDGES CANNOT WITHHOLD FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE FORMS FROM THE PUBLIC

Judiciary Is Not Immune From Public Scrutiny

(Washington, D.C.) Judicial Watch supports the efforts of APBNews.com to post financial disclosure forms of judges on its Internet website. The ruling of the federal judge in Florida yesterday blocking disclosure on the Internet will be reversed.

In the last several years, several high-ranking judges, including Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, have been revealed to have significant conflicts of interest on cases on which they were sitting. This underscores the need for full financial disclosure. See also "How Judges Fail To Police Themselves?" A Case Study," at www.JudicialWatch.org (Main Page).
