NOVAK'S NEW BOOK RECOGNIZES JUDICIAL WATCH'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN FILEGATE

(Washington, D.C.) In his new book, Completing the Revolution, distinguished journalist Robert D. Novak recognizes Judicial Watch's leading role in uncovering the specifics of the Filegate scandal. He writes at page 57:

Right or wrong, failure to bring any action on the FBI files - ‘Filegate' - was the biggest disappointment for many Republicans in Congress. They suspected a plot that could be traced to the Oval Office regarding the murky circumstances under which confidential FBI files of prominent Republicans somehow were ‘discovered' at the White House in 1996. (Many Democrats had their suspicions as well.) The right-wing judicial activist Larry Klayman uncovered a great deal of information about the files scandal that could have added much more potency to Starr's referral, but the independent counsel seemed to lose interest in this set of disturbing facts.
