JUDICIAL WATCH BEEFS UP SECURITY FORCE

(Washington, D.C.) In recent months, as Judicial Watch enters a crucial period of heavy litigation activity in the year 2000, it has become apparent that the public interest, anti-government corruption watchdog is considered an even bigger nemesis of the President and Mrs. Clinton, the Reno Justice Department and the FBI -- which are covering-up the Clinton scandals. For instance, in a news conference on September 30, 1999, when discussing the illegal New York mansion loan, the President stated:

Q Why wouldn't Bowles and Rubin help?

A THE PRESIDENT: They were – I don't have anything to say about that. McAuliffe called me the first thing when I was talking to him, and he said, look, if you can get somebody else to do it, fine. I think because – everybody thought it was a legitimate business arrangement. No one thought there was anything wrong with it, all the people I talked to about it, and all the people anybody else talked to about it. I think some people didn't want to do it because they know they live in a world where they live in the Larry Klayman political press world in which what's true is not as important as whether you can be dragged around, you have to spend a lot of money you don't have or you'd rather not spend for reasons that have nothing to do with anything that's real.

The President's attack on Judicial Watch and Larry Klayman, followed by attacks by the "leftist establishment media," which can serve as a "signal" to lunatics and others, helped prompt Judicial Watch to expend more resources to beef up security with protective personnel.

"It is clear that the Clintons' view Judicial Watch as the only threat to their plans to leave The White House and occupy their mansion in New York State free and clear from any legal consequences. The Office of Independent Counsel has effectively shut down, Congress is focused on being elected, and Janet Reno and Louis Freeh sit atop a corrupt Justice Department and FBI. Accordingly, Judicial Watch is taking all precautions, so as to effectively represent the American people," stated Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman.
