"WEST WING" PARTIES WITH CLINTON WHITE HOUSE

NBC Show Attacks Judicial Watch; Threatened to "Bust" Chairman "Like A Pinata"

While in D.C., Left-Wing Show Gets Pinata From Judicial Watch

(Washington, D.C.) The left-wing "West Wing" television comedy on NBC has been lampooning Judicial Watch and its chairman Larry Klayman in recent weeks. The program has depicted a fictionalized "Freedom Watch" led by a tough lawyer named "Harry Claypool" that sues the White House under the Freedom of Information Act. Judicial Watch has, of course, sued the Clinton Administration over its failure to follow the FOIA law, helping expose much corruption in the process.

In a recent episode written by former Clinton spokesman Dee Dee Meyers, a White House official played by Rob Lowe threatens the fictional Larry Klayman during a deposition – saying that he'd "bust him like a pinata." Filming on location in Washington, DC this past weekend, members of the "West Wing" cast found time to party with Sidney Blumenthal, the Clinton White House aide closely associated with Hillary Clinton. Current Clinton spokesman Joe Lockhart also, reportedly, has recently dropped by the television program's set.

Despite the show's recent attacks on him, Judicial Watch's Klayman invited its producers to lunch while they were in town – an invitation which was quickly declined. So rather than send a subpoena, Judicial Watch sent the "West Wing" gang visiting D.C. a pinata filled with goodies as a welcome gift.

"I know many in the Clinton White House may have day dreams of busting me like a pinata. Since that won't happen, maybe they can take out their frustrations over Judicial Watch's pursuing their corruption on a real pinata the next time they visit their friends on the set of ‘West Wing,'" stated Klayman.

Judicial Watch will continue to seek sworn testimony from Clinton White House officials who might have relevant information for its cases.
