Phyllis Schlafly Uncovers the True Purpose of the Equal Rights Amendment Conservative Author Bill Borst, Ph.D. Blames American Culture for Social Ills (Washington, D.C.) On today's edition of The Judicial Watch Report, hosts Larry Klayman and Tom Fitton were joined by conservative heroes, Paul Weyrich, Chairman of the Free Congress Foundation, Phyllis Schlafly, President of Eagle Forum and nationally renowned professor and author, Bill Borst, Ph.D. In the first hour, Bill Borst, author of the newly published, Liberalism: Fatal Consequences, said the gradual deterioration of the culture has brought about corrupt leaders. "We would have never gotten [President] Bill Clinton if it wasn't for the culture we have," said Dr. Borst on The Judicial Watch Report. "He didn't cause all of these [problems in society], he's sort of the result of various forces that have been in our culture for the last one hundred years." In the second hour, Paul Weyrich, the "Father of Modern Conservatism," discussed the disturbing status of conservatism today. "We have lost the culture war," said Weyrich. "For those who believe in the 'anything goes' philosophy, have prevailed. And therefore, we have to adust our thinking. Don't rely on the political process to take back the culture...instead, we must rely on ourselves." Also Phyllis Schlafly, who has taken on the feminist movement successfully, discussed the feminists' new efforts to resurrect the Equal Rights Amendment. "The real purpose of the Equal Rights Amendment is to put abortion funding and same-sex marriage [language] into the Constitution."
