Ray Fails to Review Crucial Evidence Before Filing Filegate Report (Washington, D.C.) Judicial Watch's Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman issued the following statement today after the release of Independent Counsel Robert Ray's Filegate Report. "Mr. Ray's leak of the Filegate report to the press and his lack of investigation is outrageous," Klayman stated. " How can he come out with findings without considering all of the facts? On the eve of a burgeoning e-mail scandal, including up to a million documents relating to Filegate, Chinagate, Travelgate and Monica Lewinsky, Ray has issued a report that is incomplete at best. He and his predecessor, Ken Starr, have also not talked to even one of the aggrieved victims of Filegate as well as many material witnesses, including Linda Tripp. What are his motivations for doing this?" |
