Sen. Inhoffe Says Joe Lockhart May be Subject to Prosecution for Violating Linda Tripp's Privacy Rights

(Washington, DC) On Saturday's edition of The Judicial Watch Report, hosts Larry Klayman and Tom Fitton were joined by special guest, Senator James Inhoffe (R-OK).

Earlier this week during a Senate Hearing on the illegal release of Linda Tripp's personnel file, Senator Inhoffe confirmed from witnesses that White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart may be implicated in the crime and cover-up. "I think that it is a good possibility that Joe Lockhart was involved [in the release of Linda Tripp's file]," said Inhoffe. "Joe Lockhart has learned to be almost as good of a liar as President Clinton. For some reason, the media allows him to not answer questions and it just...shocks me."

"I'm sure proud of what Judicial Watch did in getting depositions from Ken Bacon and others...there's no question whether or not [that Bacon] broke the law," Inhoffe added. "The only defense that he came up with...was that he didn't release the entire file and he said that he didn't intend to break the law. Larry, I don't know what we would do without you. Because, there's nothing else out there in terms of the ‘eyes and ears' and the willingness to get involved in these things. [The Senate] can't do anything through the law."
