ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO

Linda Tripp Now Free To Fight Back

(Washington, DC) With the bogus criminal charges against Linda Tripp now dismissed, she is completely free to pursue her own case for privacy violations against the Clinton-Gore Administration. In Judicial Watch's $90-million class-action lawsuit, the public interest law firm uncovered that Clinton political appointees were behind the illegal smear campaign, emanating from the Pentagon against Ms. Tripp. In addition, Judicial Watch uncovered that the Clinton-Gore White House had obtained Ms. Tripp's FBI file, in a likely further effort to smear her.

Ms. Tripp is a putative plaintiff in Judicial Watch's Filegate lawsuit. Also, the public interest law firm has moved to intervene in Ms. Tripp's own lawsuit for privacy violations.

"We will not rest until Ms. Tripp receives the legal justice she deserves," stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.
