U.S. Nuclear Secrets Compromised!

Representative Dave Weldon Calls for Resignation of Secretary of Energy

Representative Duncan Hunter Says Los Alamos Breach Tops All Clinton Scandals

(Washington, DC) On Saturday’s edition of The Judicial Watch Report, hosts Larry Klayman and Tom Fitton were joined by U.S. Representatives Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and Dave Weldon (R-FL).

In the first hour, Congressman Dave Weldon said the situation at the Los Alamos Nuclear lab requires immediate removal of not only the Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson, but President Clinton as well. "I think Secretary Richardson should resign. What we have here is one of the greatest lapses of national security interests in the history of our country." Weldon who participated in House Hearings this week on the issue, was startled at the lack of security at Los Alamos. "Security was virtually zero. There were around eighty people who had access to this vault, no security cameras, no guards over the vault, no logbook to sign in or sign out...They are essentially clueless as to who it might have been who took this information. In my opinion, the president himself should resign based on what has happened. It is a disaster of monumental proportions and a national disgrace."

In the second hour, Congressman Duncan Hunter said all other improprieties of the Clinton Administration pale in comparison with the Los Alamos national security breach. "This was, in my estimation, one of the biggest transgressions of the Clinton Administration that far overshadows Travelgate, Filegate...all the other gates -- all of the scandals, because this goes directly to national security." Judicial Watch is pursuing eleven lawsuits to bring the Clintons, Al Gore, John Huang and others to justice over these "Chinagate scandals."
