Press Conference on 11th Circuit Court's Decision on Elian Appeal (Washington, DC) A press conference will be held today at 3:30 p.m. on the steps of the Federal Courthouse in Miami to discuss the U.S. 11th Circuit Court's decision on the asylum appeal by Elian Gonzalez's Miami family. Judicial Watch filed an amicus curiae brief with the court based on additional INS documents it uncovered showing that Elian Gonzalez was unfairly denied the right to apply for asylum due to political considerations and collaboration between Fidel Castro and the Clinton-Gore administration. |
