LAMBERTH HOLDS HEARING TOMORROW TO DISCUSS EXPEDITED E-MAIL PRODUCTION AND UPCOMING OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE EVIDENTIARY HEARING

Date: Thursday, July 27, 2000

Time: 10:00 a.m.

Place: Federal Courthouse
Third & Constitution Avenue,
Washington, DC
Courtroom: 21

Judge: The Honorable Royce C. Lamberth

(Washington, D.C.) Tomorrow, the Honorable Royce C. Lamberth, who Insight Magazine has deservedly dubbed "the most courageous jurist in the United States" (see Insight Magazine, issue of August 14, 2000), will continue the hearing concerning alleged delay and obstruction in the e-mail scandal. At the hearing, witnesses will be presented showing that OnTrack Data International, a computer contractor which had been interviewed by the Clinton-Gore White House but not selected (for obvious reasons), can copy, recreate, and retrieve the missing e-mail at "25 times the speed" of the Administration. In addition, at the hearing, procedural ground rules will be discussed for the upcoming evidentiary hearing (i.e., trial) on allegations of obstruction of justice by the Clinton-Gore White House in the e-mail scandal. This evidentiary hearing is scheduled to begin Monday, July 31, 2000.

A press conference will follow on the Courthouse steps after the hearing. Members of the public are invited to attend.
