EVIDENCE HEARING ON WHITE HOUSE'S E-MAIL COVER UP STARTS MONDAY
Net Tightens After Years Of Obstruction
Date: July 31, 2000
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Place: Federal Courthouse, Rm. 21
Third & Constitution Ave., NW
Washington, DC
Judge: The Honorable Royce C. Lamberth
Lawsuit: Alexander, et al. v. FBI, et al (Filegate)
(Washington, D.C.) Clinton-Gore administration efforts to cover up the White House "missing" e-mail scandal, and obstruct the retrieval of the documents that have relevance to Judicial Watch's $90-million Filegate lawsuit over misuse of government files, will be disclosed in open court beginning Monday when a new evidentiary hearing begins before Judge Royce C. Lamberth.
Witnesses - including present and former White House officials - will be under oath and subject to cross-examination.
"For too long, Clinton-Gore operatives have been able to conceal their improper actions through intimidation, obfuscation and lies," says Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman. "This tap dance of deceit is about to come to an end."
A press conference will be held on the courthouse steps following each day's proceedings.
