JANET RENO OBSTRUCTS JUSTICE AGAIN

Turns Justice Department Into A Laughingstock And Criminal Operation In Refusing To Appoint Special Counsel For Al Gore

(Washington, D.C.) On the improper grounds that it would be "impossible" to prove that Al Gore committed a crime in his "Chinagate capers," Janet Reno has again, for corrupt reasons, put the cart before the horse. Unless a special counsel is authorized to investigate Gore, obviously a determination as to whether he committed a crime cannot be made.

"From the ongoing e-mail scandal, to Chinagate, to the illegal raid on Little Havana, to the slaughter of innocent women and children at Waco, and to a litany of other outrages and coverups, never before have we seen a Justice Department so utterly derelict, negligent, and frequently criminal in its behavior," stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.

"We have not heard any Presidential candidate talk about cleaning up the Justice Department, and we can only assume that the next administration, Democrat or Republican, will not have this as a high priority. Under these continuing circumstances, Judicial Watch has become the peoples' attorney general, and with the aid of the courts, the American people may have a hope for some justice," stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
