Ray Punts on Whitewater – Ignores Evidence of Criminal Activity by Bill and Hillary Clinton

Office of Independent Counsel Guilty of Prosecutorial Malpractice In ‘Trifecta’ on Filegate, Travelgate, and Whitewater

Ignores Overwhelming Evidence in Favor of Political Outcome

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, Inc., the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes public corruption, reacted today to the Interdependent Counsel’s closing the Whitewater matter without any prosecutions. Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman issued the following statement:
The Independent Counsel’s refusal to prosecute Bill and Hillary Clinton, and others, over Whitewater further shows our justice system has broken down. Independent Counsel Ray, according to The New York Times, is a lifelong Democrat with political aspirations, so it isn’t surprising he’d come out with such a political conclusion.

Anyone who witnessed the in-your-face perjury, obstruction of justice, witness intimidation, and bribery in these matters is sure to be outraged.

How can the Office of Independent Counsel come to any conclusions on Whitewater (let alone Filegate and Travelgate) when they have yet to talk to key witnesses and examine potentially millions of e-mail and computer and phone records which have been hidden by this White House for years?

Frankly, the Independent Counsel’s Office latest political punt shows the need for fierce investigative groups such as Judicial Watch. Frankly, Judicial Watch has uncovered more evidence in some of these matters than either the Independent Counsel or Congress, and has not punted on Filegate, Travelgate, or Whitewater.
