PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE SET FOR ALL CANDIDATES

(Washington, DC) Third-Party presidential candidates Patrick Buchanan and Ralph Nader have the opportunity on October 20 to participate in a debate in Washington, DC on the role of ethics in government and how it can be restored.

The debate, sponsored by Judicial Watch and to be moderated by a nationally prominent journalist, is being staged in the amphitheater of the Ronald Reagan Building at 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Gore, despite being named as a defendant in several of Judicial Watch’s legal cases, was one of those to quickly accept the invitation – a fact later publically confirmed on television by a Democratic Party spokesman.

Mr. Buchanan of the Reform Party, Libertarian candidate Harry Browne and Constitution Party head Howard Phillips have also formally and officially accepted. Formal acceptance is expected from Mr. Nader.

“Despite the understandable scramble by Third-Party candidates to break the exclusion of the Bush-Gore face offs, it should not be forgotten an inclusive venue awaits them,” said Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman. “They have already agreed to appear to discuss an important issue so far overlooked in the election cycle.”

“The stage is set. The lights will be lit and the cameras will be rolling.”
