JUDICIAL WATCH IN FLORIDA TO INSURE THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE PREVAILS IN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
Public Interest Watchdog Demands Inspection Of All Ballots Under Florida Law (Fla. Stat. § 119.07)
DATE: Friday, November 10, 2000
WHERE: Federal Courthouse Steps 301 North Miami Avenue Miami, Florida
TIME: 12:30 p.m.
(Miami, FL) Judicial Watch, Inc., the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, is in Florida to insure that the will of Florida citizens prevails, not the “will” of either major political party.
“To this end, Judicial Watch has requested, under Florida law (Fla. Stat. § 119.07), access to all ballots to insure that no tampering occurs in the recount. The fluctuations evidenced thus far raise issues that need to be explored, not by political hacks, but by Florida citizens themselves,” stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.
In addition, there are issues involving possible immigration fraud, as discussed in Judicial Watch’s press release of yesterday. See www.JudicialWatch.org.
“Voter fraud is the ultimate type of government corruption. Judicial Watch cannot sit by and do nothing under these grave circumstances. We do not presume to say who won the Florida vote on the Presidency. We only want a fair and accurate process,” added Klayman.
