BALLOT ACCESS VICTORY IN PALM BEACH COUNTY COURT

Judicial Watch Protects The American Public’s Interest

Ballot Examination Slated to Begin Monday

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the non-partisan public-interest watchdog that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, won a major victory for the American people when it was granted access to Palm Beach County ballots for the November 7th presidential election, in accordance with Florida statute, by Judge Jorge LaBarga during a hearing in West Palm Beach this morning. 43 other Florida counties have acknowledged Judicial Watch’s right to examine voter ballots.

Judicial Watch plans to begin examination of the ballots in Palm Beach County, and elsewhere, beginning Monday, November 27, 2000. “We’ve pledged to the American people to get passed the partisan spin and media hype in order to give a true and accurate accounting of these voting irregularities,” stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman. “Judge LaBarga’s decision is a major step in arriving at the truth,” Klayman concluded.
