JUDICIAL WATCH ENCOURAGES FULL SCALE RESPONSE – BIN LADEN NETWORK AND ANY STATE SPONSORS MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE

AFGHANISTAN, SUDAN, IRAQ, IRAN, SYRIA, LIBYA, PAKISTAN, SAUDI ARABIA, PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY, AND CHINA SHOULD ALL BE SUSPECTS IN ‘ACTS OF WAR’

Israel Should Be Allowed To Do What It Must to Protect Itself And Its Allies

(Washington, DC) Responding today to news that Osama bin Laden’s terror network almost certainly was the instrument of the worst attack against Americans in our great nation’s history, Judicial Watch encouraged America’s leadership and people to focus on any state sponsors of this unparalleled act of aggression. Many countries have been linked to state-sponsored terrorism, and it can not be ruled out, indeed it is likely, that the September 11 attack on America was aided and abetted by foreign intelligence services.

“But for some exceptions such as President Ronald Reagan’s attack on Libya, American anti-terrorism policy has focused on the individuals behind terrorist attacks and has turned a blind eye to evidence of state-sponsorship. The reason for this is obvious. To implicate countries would require U.S. leadership to declare war and take meaningful action. The implications of President Bush’s statement calling the September 11, 2001 attacks ‘acts of war’ are stark – war should be declared against foreign governments if found to be linked to the terror network responsible. And let’s be clear – the list of state suspects is long and dangerous,” stated Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman.

Among those nations which have been linked to either Bin Laden network or other terrorist networks are Afghanistan, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinian Authority, and China, among others. Its time to stop pretending that foreign governments are not involved. They not only fund and harbor the terrorists, in many instances they participate directly in the terrorist acts. It is time that the U.S. government tell the people the full truth, and it is time for our leaders to take action and declare war against these criminal states.

Finally, our leaders must stop “handcuffing” the Israelis. They should be allowed to “do the job” and join us in a full scale fight to hold guilty countries and their terrorist friends accountable.
