Judicial Watch Wins Another Victory! Los Alamos Whistleblower Fights Back After False Charges of Racism (Washington, DC) Today, Judicial Watch, Inc., the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government abuse and corruption, and which is representing patriotic former chief Energy Department counter-intelligence officer, Notra Trulock (who exposed the massive breach of national security at Los Alamos nuclear labs), won a major court victory by turning back an attempt by suspected spy Wen Ho Lee to have a lawsuit dismissed, which alleges that Lee’s charges of racism against Trulock, as published, are defamatory. The lawsuit, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, will proceed on an expeditious pace as this Court’s overriding objective is that “justice delayed is justice denied.” The Eastern District of Virginia is known for its “rocket docket.” Mr. Trulock’s case against Wen Ho Lee will, by its very nature, go to the heart of the allegations over Wen Ho Lee’s misuse of classified nuclear secrets, since in his defense Lee must prove that the charge of racism was true in explaining the reasons why Mr. Trulock recommended that Lee and others be investigated for espionage and breach of national security. Conversely, Mr. Trulock will be able to show that his recommendation for investigation was bona fide by showing that there actually was reason to believe that Lee may have committed the investigated acts in question. “This is a huge victory for not only Mr. Trulock, but for all Americans. It has become all too easy to ‘play the race card’ -- as was also seen recently during Attorney General John Ashcroft’s confirmation process -- to destroy the reputation of good and patriotic Americans.
