The change in personnel at the Justice Department this year failed to bring about a change in policy. Just like the Department of Justice under Janet Reno, the new version is reluctant to pursue justice in clear-cut cases against Bill and Hillary Clinton, yet it seems more than willing to attack their political enemies. Case and point-Judicial Watch client and Hollywood producer Peter Paul.
While the Justice Department has thus far refused to investigate the serious campaign fundraising abuses by the Clintons uncovered by JW and Peter Paul, it seems more than willing to take shots at the man who brought about the allegations. In August, Paul was arrested in Brazil and is set for extradition to the United States to face alleged charges of stock fraud.
"There seems to be a different standard for those in power than for those who are not," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "Judicial Watch fights for equal justice for all...regardless of wealth and power."
