On October 10, Judicial Watch deposed Wen Ho Lee, the man responsible for the security leaks at Los Alamos nuclear laboratories.
The testimony came in the context of a defamation lawsuit on behalf of JW client Notra Trulock, the man who blew the whistle on Lee. Trulock is a former Director of Intelligence for the Energy Department.
After his dismissal, Lee pulled out the race card, accusing Notra Trulock of targeting him because he is a Chinese American, a claim that was recently proven false by former federal prosecutor Richard Bellows.
Bellows, the government official responsible for investigating the incident, recently issued a report that states racial bias was not a factor in the decision to investigate Lee.
Judicial Watch launched the defamation lawsuit to bring to justice those who smeared Notra Trulock's good name and reputation.
To this day, Lee will not say why he removed and deposited sensitive national security information.
