LETTERS TO THE EDITOR FROM JW SUPPORTERS It is felt by myself like many American citizens that the events of September 11, 2001 have been shocking and disgusting. The official reactions to this disaster have been less than reassuring because they have one effect: making the airlines safe for terrorists by disarming the passengers. Thomas VanBelle Pennsylvania Editor response: We couldn’t agree more. While the chance of additional terrorist and/or criminal hijackings may be reduced by current government measures, the risks are still unacceptably high. In fact, we have a concern that most traveling Americans have a false sense of security while flying. Ongoing Judicial Watch efforts in this area are aimed at fighting the terrorist threat in our country. What ever happened to the money collected by charities to help the victims of the World Trade Center attacks. So far they have received nothing. They need money now. Richard Watson Pennsylvania Editor response: As of this writing, Mr. Watson is right for practical purposes. Victims and their families have received little of the funding that has been collected by non-profit organizations. Judicial Watch strongly encourages these groups to expedite aid to suffering victims. And, we are investigating means to seize and distribute the assets of Osama bin Laden and his gang of terrorists to the victims as well. I submit the following truism as my geopolitical law: A nation that is unable or unwilling to control its borders is a nation that is unable or unwilling to control terrorism.
