More than three decades after Sara Jane Olsen and a “gang of leftists” murdered Myrna Opsahl, justice was finally served. The Sacramento County District Attorney decided on January 18 to indict Olsen and her three conspirators who committed the murder during an attempted bank robbery in 1975. The gang of four were members of the Simbionese Liberation Army (SLA).
Working with the murder victim’s son, JW submitted a formal request to the Sacramento County Grand Jury on February 15, 2001 to indict the SLA members for that murder.
“Unquestionably, JW’s formal request to the grand jury produced considerable attention in the Sacramento area and brought pressure on the District Attorney,” said JW Chairman Larry Klayman.
