Hillary Named Most Corrupt Person in 2002 JW's "Dirty Dozen" also Includes Freeh, Lott, Daschle
Those who followed Judicial Watch's activities closely this past year, will not be surprised by the names on its list of the
Most Corrupt People in America for 2002. Their names and transgressions
are familiar to regular readers of The JW Verdict. Following is
the complete list of "Dirty Dozen" corrupt characters.
1) Hillary Rodham Clinton: Congratulations Senator Clinton. You
are the single most corrupt person in American public life. Was
there ever any doubt? From Filegate to Travelgate, Whitewater to
Chinagate, Mrs. Clinton has proven herself to be ethically incorrigible.
The walls are closing in on Mrs. Clinton, however. Former Democratic
donor Peter Paul is expected back in the United States very soon
to pursue his campaign finance case against Hillary, who accepted
millions in donations to her campaign which she failed to report
to the FEC.
2) Bill Clinton: He may be out of the limelight of public office
for now, but those who think Bill deserved the top spot in JW's
ranking need not worry. The former President still has the inside
track on the JWąs "Lifetime Achievement Award." For eight years
he presided over the most corrupt Administration in history. JW
is seeking to soon depose Clinton under oath in its case on behalf
of Dolly Kyle Browning.
3) Former FBI Director Louis Freeh: Last
year was a tough one for the man who once directed the often corrupt
and inept FBI. Not only did he have to answer for his agency's failure
to protect the American people from the 9/11 attacks, but he also
lost an appeal to the Supreme Court that would have rendered him
immune to a JW lawsuit on behalf of whistleblower Notra Trulock.
He is now exposed and will be held accountable.
4) Jesse Jackson:
The so-called "Reverend" Jackson continued his long string of embarrassing
and criminal behavior in 2002, and showed, once again, that he is
unfit to be a national leader. JW sued Jackson, his son, Jonathan,
and others for assault and battery on behalf of conservative black
activist Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson.
5) Rep. Richard Gephardt:
Presidential caliber? Only if Bill Clinton is the standard. Rep.
Gephardt allegedly orchestrated an effort to physically assault
his House campaign opponent, Bill Federer, and then manipulate the
legal system to damage Mr. Federer's reputation. JW sued Gephardt
on behalf of Mr. Federer.
6) DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe: McAuliffe
probably thought he hit a low-point when his party was trounced
in historical fashion in the mid-term elections last year. However
his worst days just may lie ahead. JW has sued McAuliffe for his
shady ties with the now-bankrupt Global Crossing.
7) Former IRS
Commissioner Charles Rossotti: What do you expect, Mr. Rossotti,
when you use the IRS as a political weapon against JW and others?
Seventh place on our list of most corrupt people, and a lawsuit
for good measure.
8) Senator Trent Lott: A late but worthy addition
to JW's Dirty Dozen. His recent foot-in-mouth statement at Strom
Thurmondąs 100th birthday party aside, Senator Lott was instrumental
in turning Bill Clintonąs impeachment trial into a joke and a travesty
of justice.
9) Senator Robert Torricelli: "The Torch" never met
an offer — or big screen television, or diamond earrings or expensive
watches — he didn't like. Though he received but a slap on the wrist
from his colleagues for taking these bribes in exchange for political
favors, thanks to the public's reaction to these transgressions,
his corrupt reign in Congress is over.
10) Senator Tom Daschle:
This South Dakota Democrat doesn't have a leg to stand on when criticizing
the Administration with its terrorism policy. It was Senator Daschle
and his wife, Linda, who pushed through a deal to place faulty bomb-detecting
equipment in airports across the country.
11) Former Enron CEO Kenneth
Lay: The only non-politician to make the list, Lay used his investor's
money in Enron like his own personal cookie jar, getting fat while
his investors took a bath in the market.
12) Representative Henry
Waxman: Congressman Waxman earned his place on the list for his
tireless efforts to obstruct justice whenever Democrats are involved
in scandal.
Honorable Mention:
Representative Tom DeLay: "The Hammer" smashed his thumb
when he tried to sell White House access to contributors á la Clinton
Lincoln bedroom-style.
