Hillary's Dirty Secrets While Hillary Postures for White House, JW Pushes for Justice
Anyone interested in the true "living history" of Hillary
Clinton will find no shred of it in her 576-page book recently released
by Simon & Shuster. And they won’t find it buried in the
softball interview recently conducted by ABC’s Barbara Walters.
No, the truth about Hillary Clinton can be found in the pages of testimony
collected by Judicial Watch over the last nine years testimony that
proves Mrs. Clinton is among the most corrupt political creatures
in American history.
In other words, if you want to know the truth about the Clintons,
pocket your $21.50, and simply log on to JW’s Internet Site
at www.JudicialWatch.org. It’s free.
While Hillary Clinton travels the country from book signing to
book signing pushing her "non-fiction" memoir, Judicial
Watch continues to plow ahead on a number of legal fronts against
the former first lady. In fact, on June 18, the Los Angeles Times
published a story confirming that Judicial Watch¹s campaign
finance scandal case against Mrs. Clinton is heating up.
"A federal inquiry into the activities of Aaron Tonken is
examining his involvement with a $1-million Hollywood political
event for Hillary Rodham Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign," wrote
the Los Angeles Times. "Controversy erupted around the gala
when Peter F. Paul, a Web entrepreneur now awaiting extradition
from Brazil to face trial on U.S. securities fraud charges, claimed
to have underwritten it with in-kind contributions totaling nearly
$2 million. Paul is represented by Larry Klayman, whose Judicial
Watch organization dogged the Clintons repeatedly with lawsuits
during Clinton's eight-year presidency."
The Los Angeles Times had it mostly correct. Mr. Paul did not simply
"claim" to have underwritten the event, he has the evidence
to prove it. And Judicial Watch is far from finished "dogging"
the Clintons simply because Bill Clinton is out of office.
"It’s only a matter of time before Hillary is forced
to answer for her crimes before a court of law," said JW President
Tom Fitton. "Only then will the true history of Hillary Clinton
be revealed."
The federal criminal probe of Senator Clinton’s 2000 Senate
campaign fundraising practices and Tonken’s other legally
questionable charity work are a direct result of a series of legal
actions taken by Judicial Watch. The case involves a celebrity gala
held in the Clintons’ honor on August 12, 2000. Celebrities
such as Cher, Brad Pitt and John Travolta attended the event to
pay tribute to Bill Clinton and to give Hillary’s New York
Senate bid a much-needed financial shot in the arm. The event was
funded to the tune of $2 million by JW client Peter Paul and brought
in an additional $1.5 million in donations. The Clintons had fraudulently
induced Paul to fund the event. But more importantly, Hillary Clinton
never reported the campaign donations to the Federal Election Commission
as is required by law.
When questioned after the event as to Mr. Paul’s involvement,
Mrs. Clinton not only denied that she knew Mr. Paul had organized
the event, she claimed she did not even know Mr. Paul personally.
The problem for Mrs. Clinton, however, is that Mr. Paul had the
evidence to prove Mrs. Clinton lied. Copies of checks, bank statements,
personal letters from the Clintons and video footage are now in
the hands of Justice Department investigators, who are moving forward,
albeit not at the pace Judicial Watch would like.
"The Justice Department has dragged its feet in terms of investigating
the Clintons in a number of different scandals," continued
Fitton. "However, this case against the Clintons is so strong
and so explosive, the Justice Department has been forced to uncharacteristically
do something."
Late last year, the Brazilian Supreme Court ruled that Mr. Paul
can be extradited to the United States, where he faces alleged stock
and bank fraud violations. Upon his return, he intends to testify
in a court of law with respect to the Clintons’ criminality.
Perhaps then the long, sad chapter of American history dominated
by the Clintons can finally be closed.
