JW Staff Spotlight
Chris Farrell, Director of Investigations
Each month the JW Verdict calls attention to the important court victories earned by Judicial Watch. Often overlooked, however, is the painstaking process of building a successful case. The fact is, behind every successful legal action by Judicial Watch there is a mountain of intelligence that must be collected, reviewed and plotted into a coherent legal strategy. And behind this important effort, there is Chris Farrell.
Chris is the Director of Investigations and Research for Judicial Watch - the man in charge of compiling important information necessary to carry out Judicial Watch's mission to hold every politician accountable for their actions. Late last year, Judicial Watch was honored to have Chris join its Board of Directors.
"We ask politicians and government officials 'difficult' questions they would much rather not answer," Chris recently said in an interview with the JW Verdict. "But the American people are owed straight answers from their employees who are spending their tax dollars. That's why our research and lawsuits are so important - they reveal the operations of government that would normally be hidden from the view of the average citizen."
A native of Rockville Center, New York, Chris was a Distinguished Military Graduate of Fordham University, whereupon he accepted a Regular Army Commission and served as a Military Intelligence officer - specializing in Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence. Following command and staff assignments that included three tours of duty in the Federal Republic of Germany and one tour at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Chris returned to civilian life as a contractor and consultant to the defense and intelligence communities in the metropolitan Washington, DC area.
Chris has authored numerous articles and lectured around the country on both government corruption issues and intelligence matters. He was the managing and contributing editor of the Judicial Watch publication FATAL NEGLECT: The U.S. Government's Continuing Failure to Protect American Citizens from Terrorists.
Prior to joining Judicial Watch, Chris was active in the establishment of a private, co-ed Christian high school, where he both taught and served as director for a year. Today, Chris invests his energy in teaching politicians lessons in ethics.
"We help to ensure accountability and transparency in government," Chris explains. "Sunshine disinfects the political arena - regardless of party affiliation or branch of government. We stand on principle over politics."
