I'm fifty-one, newly divorced after 19 years, unemployed after IT job off-shored, I don't qualify for GA/GR or Cal Works. I don't have income, savings, credit or transportation. I am pissed there's no social safety net. IF I weren't still living in the marital home I might qualify for $80. month, but I'd have to throw away all of my belongings (my wrecked car I need to repair) and become homeless...but THEN it would be impossible for me to find a job, wouldn't it? But, then again, with no transportation I can't find a job anyways. Screw all you believers in, "limited government," and Shame on you for believing the Fox Talking-Points bought and paid for by people like the Koch brothers. When will Conservatives figure out they've been lied to and get some outside perspective? Don't you understand you're being used by the Wealthy? There is just so much dis-information about welfare.
