Deposing Corrupt Politicians – Commerce Case Depositions

In another notable case, Judicial Watch is the plaintiff in a lawsuit brought against the Department of Commerce.  Judicial Watch is interested in learning more about the Department’s method for choosing trade mission participants as well as their illegal fundraising activity.  In the interest of knowledge, Judicial Watch made a request for documents and eventually uncovered the fundraising scandals that characterized the Clinton administration. Below you will find the deposition of Terry McAuliffe, just one of the many people that were questioned by Judicial Watch.

Terry McAuliffe, former chairman of the Democratic National Convention, was questioned by Judicial Watch regarding his knowledge of potential illegal fundraising activity at the Department of Commerce.  JW questioned his connections to former secretary Ron Brown, Melissa Moss, and John Huang among others.

John Huang was a key figure in the illegal campaign fundraising at the Department of Commerce.  At the DOC it was discovered that he may have been involved in illegal fundraising activities and the passing on of confidential information to China.  Little real knowledge was to be gained from Huang’s depositions due to the near constant invocation of his Fifth Amendment rights.
