I know this Phoenix Police Department under Harris, the Public Safety Manager,
since he is really not a chief, he does things against the officers which a real
chief wouldn't do. Why? Most chiefs are also looking after their men, those who
work under them are important.
Harris doesn't have that loyalty to them. My husband retired from PPD after 21
years of service to the Department. We know full well what Harris has done to the Phoenix Police Department, he is merely a politician's puppet. He has totally politicized the Department under Phillip Gordon.
My concern right now is that their policy will be used to intimidate the officers
who will find the illegal aliens everywhere. We have approximately 600,000 (too
under the real figures) Officers who call their supervisors for an approval to
call 'ICE' will definitely be 'profiled' The Department will keep statistics as
to those officers who call the most...depending on their beat(?) I anticipate the
conferences with those officers who will be called to task by their supervisors
for working 'too hard' and calling for supervisors, who I guarantee will be over-
worked (for a change) from answering the calls from the cops on the street.
Soon the officers will be counseled to be more "sensitive" to the Hispanics(?)
The officers will then feel intimidated, particularly when it comes to trying
for promotions? I've seen what the Department has done under Harris. I don't
trust the man one bit!
