Dear Mayor Gimenez:
Thank you for considering the Miami-Dade Community Relations Board (CRB) request for Goodwill
Ambassadors the Youth Speak Out event previously scheduled for April 12, 2012 Miami Carol City
Senior High auditorium, from p.m. p.m.
Regrettably, the event was postponed upon the
determination yesterday, April 11, 2012 the Associate Superintendent the Miami-Dade County
Public Schools that would disruptive students preparing for the pending FCAT examinations. The
event will rescheduled later date and will resubmit request for GWA deployment that time.
The CRB and the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) will convene the Youth Speak Out
forum Thursday, April 12, 2012 allow young people opportunity discuss the Trayvon Martin
case and related issues. The event will allow young people ages and under address panel
youth leaders and local officials and heard before the community large. Goodwill Ambassadors
(GWA) will needed assist students and community members who attend.
