ABOUT THE SCANDAL
Charged with collecting taxes and enforcing the Internal Revenue Code, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is one of the most powerful agencies of the Federal Government. It is one which must be run scrupulously and without a hint of corruption. Sadly, as the IRS Targeting Scandal continues to unfold we see that the power entrusted to the IRS has been abused by the Obama Administration…
Beginning in 2010 members of the IRS Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division began targeting “Tea Party” and other conservative groups for extra scrutiny and harassment. Some groups were forced to answer outrageous and arbitrary questionnaires, or were simply denied the critical tax exempt status they deserved (see evidence below).
Judicial Watch is on the front lines fighting for accountability and vigorously investigating this scandal. We won’t stop until the criminals involved in the IRS Targeting Scandal are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law.
