re; Illegal immigration
I live in Sacaramento, hometown to the CA State Senate and seat of State Government. I am so sad to read everyday of the State Deficits. I wish a study be made to determine how much of this deficit was due in fact or related to services rendered to illegal immigrants.
Great News
The best news that I heard from you today!!! Congrats to Mr. Cooper for taking a wonderful move (that I pray) will take hold to some of the other states plagued with that problem. This is a true representative "of the people" in his state. Unfortunately, I'm a Texan. We are being stomped on by our state officials. The cost of education (by bi-language teachers to accomodate) medical care, affording living quarters and the over-packed jails and prisons brought from below the border has brought us to starving. Without support from our state/national officials, the Homeland Security (JOKE) to end the crossing illigally, will not only end this state...the entire country. The Trans Texas Corridor, under construction, will allow them to drive in with terrifying cargo is a huge concern to us. To consider the loss of the amount of farm/pasture land used for it will deminish, not only families livihood, but the crops output and cattle ranching supply of beef, etc. On top, the amount of smog that these trucks will bring... we may end with areas uninhabitable. Does anyone (in power) listen to common sense truths?? Thank YOU. Emily
imigration
CONSTITUTION PARTY STANCE ON IMMIGRATION
We affirm the integrity of the international borders of the United States and the Constitutional authority and duty of the federal government to guard and to protect those borders, including the regulation of the numbers and of the qualifications of immigrants into the country.
Each year approximately one million legal immigrants and almost as many illegal aliens enter the United States. These immigrants - including illegal aliens - have been made eligible for various kinds of public assistance, including housing, education, Social Security, and legal services. This unconstitutional drain on the federal Treasury is having a severe and adverse impact on our economy, increasing the cost of government at federal, state, and local levels, adding to the tax burden, and stressing the fabric of society. The mass importation of people with low standards of living threatens the wage structure of the American worker and the labor balance in our country.
We oppose the abuse of the H-1B and L-1 visa provisions of the immigration act which are displacing American workers with foreign.
We favor a moratorium on immigration to the United States, except in extreme hardship cases or in other individual special circumstances, until the availability of all federal subsidies and assistance be discontinued, and proper security procedures have been instituted to protect against terrorist infiltration.
We also insist that every individual group and/or private agency which requests the admission of an immigrant to the U.S., on whatever basis, be required to commit legally to provide housing and sustenance for such immigrants, bear full responsibility for the economic independence of the immigrants, and post appropriate bonds to seal such covenants.
The Constitution Party demands that the federal government restore immigration policies based on the practice that potential immigrants will be disqualified from admission to the U.S. if, on the grounds of health, criminality, morals, or financial dependence, they would impose an improper burden on the United States, any state, or any citizen of the United States.
We oppose the provision of welfare subsidies and other taxpayer-supported benefits to illegal aliens, and reject the practice of bestowing U.S. citizenship on children born to illegal alien parents while in this country.
We oppose any extension of amnesty to illegal aliens. We call for the use of U.S. troops to protect the states against invasion.
We oppose bilingual ballots. We insist that those who wish to take part in the electoral process and governance of this nation be required to read and comprehend basic English as a precondition of citizenship. We support English as the official language for all governmental business by the United States.
illegal immigrant students
I am a teacher in N.C. I teach students who are limited in English. Some of them are illegal immigrants. In the morning, they proudly stand and pledge allegiance to the flag. They want to be acadmeically successful like any student of any cultural or ethnic background. Some of them, defying the odds placed upon them, learn English in TWO years (against all of the latest research which says it takes over 5 years to master acadmic language). They are very bright and ambitious students. They have dreams to use their God given intelligence and go onto college. They will have to pay TWICE the in state fee to do that. Many of them never make it that far academically or financially. The small amount that do are a great asset to our country. We have critical shortages of nurses, hospital technicians, mathamaticians and science majors. We could use their expertise here in the U.S.A. They will have to pay taxes to work and it will go into our social security system which dearly needs more funds. So what is so awful about them going to higher edcuation here?
Illegal imagration
Just a few years ago we saw hundreds of illegal aliens and their supporters hold large protests in favor of amensty for illegal aliens what the main-stream left-wing media failed to show was those who claim this country is their and were the illegal aliens but they failed to convince the american public and instead made many more americans opposed to amnesty for illegal aliens and of course TIME recenty had a article supporting amnesty butt hats no surprse since TIME is largely a leftists rag
I am a college student with a college loan
I am a normal middle class, parent, adult COLLEGE STUDENT.
In light of the information on tuition breaks for illegal aliens - I am dumb founded. I have three teen sons that will need college education. When I was married 6 months (have been married for 23 years now) I bought a house to invest in, we lived in it then rented it out - to save for college for my kids some day. I labord over this house for 15 years, and got it paid off. Then after I refinanced for funds to buy another house, our county raised taxes and trippled our property taxes. I could not pay it. I lost my house. I lost my kids college funds (by selling the home). Its strange to feel as though I am an alien in my own country who would rather take the tax month and give it to an illiegal alien rather than award me, who earned it.
It takes my breath way. Please stop the insanity. I am glad NC is standing up for what is right. Maybe I will move there.
