Was she hired as a contractor or an actual employee?

Either way the government is spending hundreds of millions of dollars doing background investigations on prospective employees and contractors. Doesn't appear that the taxpayers are getting their money's worth from the state or federal government if this is the kind of people who are put in sensitive positions.

I guess the Feds suitability guidlines (5 C.F.R. 731)for employment only apply if you are an average person trying to make a living.
