Corruption in the US

Shame on us US

Ineffective and corrupt Congress

It's interesting that 86.4% of people believe that corruption is same or increased since congress came under Democratic control and republicans are trusted less. The varied polls seem confusing and conflicting. But regardless, there does not seem to be any congressional interest except in lip-service to address corruption especially in regards to the financial debacle we are in currently. There doesn't seem to be any move to actually identify and correct the real cause(s). In fact, it would seem congress is disconnecting further with the increasing evidence of connections with significant donors with banking/loan failures, outright election fraud, failed border security leading to influx of drug/criminal/terrorist cartels threatening the security of the southwest and spending fiascals. Of course, investigations and prosecutorial decisions are conducted by agencies and personnel that realize their financing and oversight(including promotions, personnel assignments, etc) from the group that needs investigating. If pushed and congress does anything, it will issue a censure of the offending member.

Government corruption

Is it any wonder that 8 out of 10 of us feel that government is corrupt when the recent bail out bill funneled money to legislators districts for other purposes?
How about the attempted giveaway of billions to the subversive ACORN organization whose sole purpose is to consolidate power with one party but uses all taxpayers money?
Is it surprising that a general public who relies largely on a tainted pool of information from a media that refuses to place responsibility where it should if the culprits are members of their party(drug) of choice?
Without a corresponding question on who does one trust for obtaining accurate information, than the blame aspect measures nothing more than the marketing success of the parties, rather than the informed decision of those polled.

The truth is 8 out of 10 of all legislators should be booted from office, and reasonable term limits, along with a executive line item veto needs to be implemented.

As long as these politicians mainly focus on reelection strategy, instead of the peoples work, advantageous schemes for money will be in play, and corruption will continue.

Why does no candidate really focus on cleaning up corruption?

This poll clearly identifies the problem of corruption in the US. Why does no candidate for president focus his campaign on this??????
