Thank God for you people! Our Government has become a laughing stock to the world & a pitiful embarassment to all American Citizens. I applaude your work. Please, keep it up & us informed.
Wow, how could the Arizona Supreme court get a legal concept like slander so wrong? First of all, slander refers to oral or spoken statement that presumably harms a person's reputation of standing in the community. The Supreme Court is a group, not a person, so no "harm" is even possible. Also, how would the publishing of this harm anyone's reputation or standing in the community, even if you could pin it down to one person? This would seem more like libel than slander, but both are in weak legal footing, insofar as the charge against Judicial Watch. And why is a "spokesperson" for the Arizona Supreme Court threatening Judicial Watch or anyone else for that matter? These charges need to come directly from the injured party.
Anyway, what a joke the Arizona Supreme Court has shown themselves to be.

Well according to Dictionary.com the definition of Alien is"
1. a resident born in or belonging to another country who has not acquired citizenship by naturalization (distinguished from citizen ).
2. a foreigner.
3. a person who has been estranged or excluded.
4. a creature from outer space; extraterrestrial.
–adjective
5. residing under a government or in a country other than that of one's birth without having or obtaining the status of citizenship there.
6. belonging or relating to aliens: alien property.
7. unlike one's own; strange; not belonging to one: alien speech.
8. adverse; hostile; opposed (usually fol. by to or from): ideas alien to modern thinking.
Other than the "creature from outer space", I would say the rest apply. I love it when the freedom of speech crowd (typically liberal) are the first to try and prohibit our freedom of speech. In this case, it actually would be more applicable since the Constitution talks about the governments role in prohibiting freedom of speech.....not that everyone can say whatever they want.....which is more what you here from those who frequently claim "freedom of speech infringement".
McGregor hasn't agreed to ban anything, and your story is transparently dishonest in saying otherwise. Anyone who reads the letter itself can see that nothing was agreed to, nothing was banned, and no instructions were given to the Arizona courts. The only thing worse than publishing this story was your decision to publish it twice. You should be ashamed of yourselves for posting this dishonest crap.
Thank god for Judicial Watch. Activist judges need to be scrutinized and exposed not only for their imbecilic decisions, but for their kowtowing to extremist groups.
This is just the beginning of the new judicial elitists, euro-socialist one-worlders awed by Dear Leader. First, talk radio, then your living room. But, seriously, I trust Congress, don't you?
Footnote 2
Defendants prefer the term “undocumented immigrants.” However,
defendants do not cite any authoritative definition of the term
and do not support their assertion that the terms “undocumented
immigrant” and “illegal alien” are interchangeable. We consider
the term “illegal alien” less ambiguous. Thus, under federal
law, an “alien” is “any person not a citizen or national of the
United States.” (8 U.S.C. § 1101(a)(3).) A “national of the
United States” means a U.S. citizen or a noncitizen who owes
permanent allegiance to the United States. (8 U.S.C. §
1101(a)(22).) Under federal law, “immigrant” means every alien
except those classified by federal law as nonimmigrant aliens.
(8 U.S.C. § 1101(a)(15).) “Nonimmigrant aliens” are, in
general, temporary visitors to the United States, such as
diplomats and students who have no intention of abandoning their
residence in a foreign country. (8 U.S.C. § 1101(a)(15)(F),
(G); Elkins v. Moreno (1978) 435 U.S. 647, 664-665 [55 L.Ed.2d
614, 627-628] [under pre-1996 law, held the question whether
nonimmigrant aliens could become domiciliaries of Maryland for
purposes of in-state college tuition was a matter of state
law].) The federal statutes at issue in this appeal refer to
“alien[s] who [are] not lawfully present in the United States.”
(8 U.S.C. §§ 1621(d), 1623.) In place of the cumbersome phrase
“alien[s] who [are] not lawfully present,” we shall use the term
“illegal aliens.”
I use the term "illegal alien". There is nothing racial about it, nor does it
convey a connection to any particular nation. It seems harsh and insulting,
but then I never use it as a compliment.

I am so sick and tired of our elected and/or appointed officials continually PANDERING to illegal aliens while "spitting in the face" of WE THE PEOPLE. How dare this judge ban the term of "illegal aliens". They ARE illegal and shouldn't even be here in the first place, according to our own laws. With all of the multitude of problems they are creating for us and our country, now this judge is so concerned about how they are labeled. This Politically Correct crap doesn't do it for me. Hey, call a spade a spade... Things have gotten so ridiculous today.
Look at these videos of the masses of people avoiding the Border Patrol as they illegally pour across the border in remote areas, and you decide what they should be called.
This is insanity. This is fascism hands down. Judicial Watch can defend itself by arguing that the court who issued this order is challenging the legal language of existing immigration law in which the term illegal alien is used and accepted. It is high time to start recalling some of these judges or Americans will suffer the consequences. These judges need to put American law first not what the representatives of illegal foreign nationals want.

Is this not the same chief justice who pushed a baseless bar complaint against the Maracopa County attorney in an attempt to stop that attorney from prosecuting illegal aliens under the new Arizona law?
It is apparent that this chief justice is an unprincipled thug; and a lier.
I was taught that our legal system was for our (Citizens of the United States) safety and protection. Why are there foreign enemies like the ACLU and this Mexican Bar Assn in our land telling us how we are suppose to be towards their illegal foreign intruders? If we (Citizens of the United States) were to go into their country, what do you suppose will happen to us? Not love and kisses for sure, but we'll get a 'stimulated package' that we don't want.
For what? What planet do these people come from? Your going to call drug dealers unlicienced pharmasist next? You had better stick with your guns Judicial Watch because I believe some of these people are truly nuts. An illegal alien is exactly that -- an ILLEGAL ALIEN FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY.
THIS IS JUST ANOTHER MODE THAT MEXICO UTILIZES TO GET THEIR MILLIONS OF ILLEGALS LEGALIZED SO THEY CAN TAKE OVER OUR SW (AND THE REST OF THE NATION/CONTINENT IF THEY CAN HACK IT. YOU SAY HOW CAN THAT BE WHEN MEXICO IS A FAILURE AND FALLING APART. THAT IS CERTAINLY NOT LOGICAL, BUT MEXICO IS NOT LOGICAL - IT IS A HYPOCRITE AND EGOTISTIC. THEY MAY BE FALLING APART BUT THEY WOULD LOVE TO STEAL WHATEVER WE HAVE. OF COURSE, IF YOU STEAL SOMEONE ELSE'S AND DON'T WORK FOR IT, YOU DON'T APPRECIATE IT BUT WHEN YOU ARE DEALING WITH A CULTURE OF CORRUPTIOON, THAT IS NO SURPRISE.
SO NOW DOES THIS JUDGE WANT US TO REFER TO "BURGLARS" (DOES SHE ALSO SEE THIS AS A "DEROGATORY TERM"?) AS "UNINVITED GUESTS"?
WHAT ABOUT MURDERERS? (ALSO A DEROGATORY TERM - PERHAPS WHEN LAWBREAKERS DO SOMETHING DEROGATORY, THEY ARE REFERRED TO BY WHAT THEY DO) ARE MURDERERS NOW "UNSOLICITED LIFETAKERS". SO ARE WE NOW SUPPOSED TO USE "LYING LANGUAGE"?
On this date of November 9th, 2008 we still have our FREEDOM OF SPEECH, and to that degree, we can and will use any word in the English language to describe what 'illegal immigrants' are...ILLEGAL! If we stand by and allow our language to be altered one word at a time by ANYONE, we then no longer have FREEDOM OF SPEECH and our DICTIONARIES will be altered also, without our consent as always...somewhat like our HISTORY BOOKS dumbing down our kids in primary schools and Universities. Political correctness is 'tyranny with manners'...changing the USA in leaps and bounds, and I for one, will NOT COMPLY.
THANK YOU for your efforts, energy, expertise in implementing support of our CONSTITUTION AND BILL OF RIGHTS.
It matters not what the Hispanic Cacus wants, they need to move to Mexico and Cacus from their. We are sick and tired of all of these liberal judges in California, Florida, Arizona etc.. It is time for American citizens to rise up and take back our country. No amnesty, we gave that in 1986, we want all of the illegal immigrants to leave our country regardless of where they came from and all anchor babies that have been born in our country from 1986 to present to any illegal immigrant is not a citizen. We demand our government stop this birthright citizenship that the Republicans started with Ronald Regan, it all must end. We are not being protectionist or racist, we are concerned for our very existence and for our beloved country. This is unfortunate. I am sure Judicial Watch will prevail! Hang in there Tom!
The poster above who speaks of "lying language" has invented a very useful term, one that we should remember and use.
The Supreme Court by passing this request along implied that it should be followed. Ever have your boss "suggest" something or make sure something came to your attention? No one can tell me that in lower courts illegal-aliens' advocates wouldn't instantly cite the letter when one of the phrases was used. "Your Honor, I object to the use of the prejudicial term 'illegal alien.' The Supreme Court of this state ...." etc., etc.
The Court should have put this request in the wastebasket. But if it had, TheRace people or one of their fellow organizations would have been in the judge's office singing "Kumbayah" and holding up children weeping because their Daddy had been deported. Daddy was a criminal, of course, but they like to smoke over that fact.
Yes, this is a heavy handed suggestion to Judge McGregor.
By agreeing to pass this ludicrous suggestion on to other
members of the court system, Judge McGregor has succumbed
to the evil of "political correctness" again.
