This only confirms my belief that we have to have term limits. Congress is working for themselves not working for "we, the people". Dodd is elected each and every time, not because he's such a good person and a great Senator; oh, no - it's because of name recognition. People do not look at the facts or research the candidates. Why do so many run for Congress as "average citizens" and then leave as millionaires? Why? Because they get to keep their campaign money, they get to keep their salaries because they are given privileges with our money that is not given to any other person; free healthcare (one of the best), pension for life (even after one term...who gets that in the private sector?), free postage, free haircuts, free shoe shines, junkets to "research" a new program or bill (oh, no - it's not a vacation), and, on top of all that, they get to keep their campaign money. It's the people's money, put it in a pot and spread it around where it can do some good. I'd run for Congress too if I thought I could win. Heck, I can use the money and sweetheart mortgage deals, too.

This is another example of politicians believing they are above the law, especially with Dodd. Term limits may help but this all goes alot further. The politicians do not believe they work for the people anymore but for their own special interests. Thank you Judicial Watch for the work you are doing for this Country.
The only way term limits are going to come about is if WE THE PEOPLE descend on Washington and physically remove the scoundrels by force. Then we will try them for treason and hang them from the statue of General Grant!
Obviously political office attracts the type of people who don't make good public servants. We need to restore power locally... so that people who win elections are forced to face their constituents. Meetings will have to be held in places like schools because of the number of people attending. In Maine, we have a website www.maine.gov/legis where a person can listen to public hearings regarding discussing legislation. Every state should have one. If your state doesn't, then tell your politicians you want one!
I don't understand why the citizens of Mass continue electing Kennedy, Kerry, Frank, and other doofusses such as Dookacca. I don't understand why the citizens of PA continue to elect Murtha. I don't understand why Conn. citizens elect Dodd, or West VA elect Robert Byrd. I've lived in PA and found the populace to be generous, well versed in history, and nice people. Why do they get hit with the DumbStick at the polls?

Call and talk to people. Interact with real people start being a community. Not a bunch of cry babies waiting for someone else to do it.
