We all know that "diversity" is the main qualifier in everything political.

Claiming diversity is the be-all to end racism and discrimination has been the ultimate tool to silence anyone who believes people ought to have the talent, skills, knowledge, experience of ability to perform the duties necessary to perform any given job.

None of this matters any more. You either must hire a minority, qualified or not, or be subject to litigation.

That is the bottom line.

The notion that you must hire a black over a white because of numbers is the main thing that causes racism to rise in the first place. The governor is "playing the race card" and hoping to use this in a future election. If a person is qualified for a position then he should get it no matter what their race is.
