High flying government officials

This is to be expected because hypocrisy is one of the tell tale traits of the liberal progressive profile. Because they are the elite governing class none of the rules should apply to them. More and more this elite strikes me as the new Politburo. Imagine, open, honest and transparent government, promised by Pelosi etal and they work ever so hard to hide the truth.

Secret Health Care Pact

With great fanfare, the administration announced last June that Big Pharma had agreed to kick in $80 billion in health care savings. What they didn't reveal, and is now becoming evident, is what they gave Big Pharma in return. No drug reimportation was one such item, which resulted in Senate dems reneging on previous commitments and voting down the Dorgan reimportation amendment. Why? Because of the secret deal, which if violated would have resulted in Big Pharma withdrawing its support. The cost? Americans will pay $100 billion in additional drug costs over the next ten years. The policy vp for the industry group PhRMA was quoted in a recent media report as saying the June pact is 'ironclad,' and that the drug industry is sticking by its part of the agreement. In that this agreement is binding every American to unknown terms, I believe we have the right to see it before the bill is finalized. But administration officials have refused to divulge it. Can Judicial Watch help with this?

I posted a question six days ago, asking the help of Judicial Watch in obtaining a copy of the 'ironclad' pact that the administration made with Big Pharma regarding the health care reform legislation. I did so because Judicial Watch took the lead in attempting to gain transparency in a similar situation with the previous administration: Dick Cheney meeting in secret with oil industry executives to shape the energy policy legislation.
Justice is blind when it comes to political persuasion, and I hope Judicial Watch will advocate for what's right: the people's right to see an agreement to which they are a party before it is enacted.
