Hillary rivals silent on foundation conflicts, but not the ethics watchdogs

FEBRUARY 19, 2015

The Clinton Foundation has received $2 billion from its donors, which include foreign countries. Of great concern is the $48 million Bill Clinton received while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, which raises questions of whether or not ethics agreements were fulfilled. Judicial Watch analyzed and disclosed the State Department’s 215 ethics reviews of Bill Clinton’s speeches, which is how this number was revealed to the public. Chris Farrell, Judicial Watch’s Director of Research and Investigation, offered some commentary on all of this, as quoted in this article:

“Today’s Washington Post coverage of the Clinton’s decades-long enterprise to monetize their ‘public service’ for their personal enrichment is very late and half-hearted. It seems only the direct involvement of foreign donors and the compromising impact on Hillary’s nascent presidential campaign has been enough to awaken the slumbering Post.”
