Liberal George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley has noted that President Obama has violated his oath of office with his executive actions and admitted that the Justice Department is “at the epicenter of a constitutional crisis.” Turley voted for President Obama but believes he has exceeded the limitations of his authority through unconstitutional actions such as unilateral action on illegal immigration and delaying parts of Obamacare. In relation, the author of this article discussed new documents obtained by Judicial Watch uncovering more information about the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack. You can read more information about those documents here.
Here is the main reason why Professor Turley is concerned over President Obama’s unconstitutional actions, as quoted in this article:
“As my academic writings indicate, I have been concerned about the erosion of the lines of separation of powers for many years, and particularly the erosion of legislative authority, of this body, and of the House of Representatives, “said Turley. “That concern has grown to alarm in the last few years under President Obama, someone that I voted for, someone with whom I happen to agree on many issues… including some of the issues involved in these controversies. We are watching a fundamental change in our constitutional system. It’s changing in the very way that the Framers warned us to avoid.”
