Video News Release: Additional CPAC Newsmaker Soundbites

Judicial Watch Does Unprecedented Two-Day Live Facebook Feed from Conservative Political Action Conference with News Anchor Emily Miller

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch hosted groundbreaking live coverage of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) from Broadcast Row – featuring top newsmaker interviews by news anchor Emily Miller on Facebook live on February 23 and 24, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, at Washington’s National Harbor.

Among the many special guests were: Dr. Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to the president; David Clarke, sheriff of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin; David Keene, opinion editor of The Washington Times and former president of the NRA; comedian Tim Young; intelligence expert, retired U.S. Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer; artist James McNaughton, famous for his painting “The Forgotten Man;” and Shane Bouvet, who was given $10,000 by President Trump for his father’s cancer treatments.

Below are newsmaker soundbites from three of the top Judicial Watch interviews at the 2017 CPAC:

Cut One: Hillary Clinton’s Grave National Security Crimes
Who: Chris Farrell, director of research and investigations, Judicial Watch

Take-Away: “If Hillary Clinton were to be indicted – all the case would be laid out – all the stuff she had done. And let me be clear, grave, grave, national security crimes … there is more than enough evidence to prosecute her.” [37 seconds]

Cut Two: Weaponizing Social Media
Who: Bill Gertz, senior editor, Free Beacon; national security columnist, The Washington Times

Take-Away: “Very shortly, the President is going to be given a new plan for going after the Islamic State terror group … it will include a lot of information warfare type activities, such as, really weaponizing social media to go after the Islamic State, so they are unable to use social media platforms to recruit and to do command and control.”  [41 seconds]

Cut Three: Sanctuary Cities Are Havens for Crime
Who: Sheriff David Clarke, Milwaukee County, WI

Take-Away: “Look, sanctuary cities are havens for criminal activity – and the reason for that is – because criminal illegal aliens will prey on other illegal aliens who aren’t criminals, knowing they can’t report that to the police … when one of these mayors, and mainly they’re progressive mayors, when they wrap their arms around this idea of a sanctuary city – I say – your obligation is to your law abiding community, including, the illegal aliens who are here who aren’t committing crimes. Where is the love for them?” [53 seconds]
